Located on the Deschutes arm of Lake Billy Chinook. You will need a boat to get close and then have to climb a short distance to the cache location. The terrain is steep with unsure footing. I would not recommend this for children.
The "Core 3" have been making an annual trip to the Cove Palisades for the last 8 years and thought this year we would place our own cache. A quick boat ride from either the Crooked River or Deschutes River launch will get you you to the jump off point. You will probably want a chauffeur in the boat in order to make the trip to land much easier. A short, but careful climb will take you to "The Hole In The Wall". Your looking for a small Otter Box that has enough room for some small swag.
I put a Mt. Hood geocoin and some trinkets in the cache to get it started. There is also a First To Find geocoin in the cache. On the way down you may want to try jumping into the lake from one of the nearby cliffs. I found it quite refreshing.
