West Adams Boulevard Church Series: First AME Zion Church

The purpose of this series of geocaches near churches on or near Adams Blvd is to highlight the great history of this neighborhood.

Please take a moment to enjoy this wonderful architectural tour.
West Adams is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Los Angeles.

The AME Zion Church is not to be confused with the similarly named African Methodist Episcopal Church, which was officially formed in 1816 by Richard Allen and Daniel Coker in Philadelphia.

This area could be very busy at certain times especially on Sundays.

Adams Blvd could be called Church Row as there are many churches along this street, too many for each to have a geocache at. But if you are interested check them out as you drive East to West. Here is a list of a few:
