This series of caches was started by Nogs on the Historic Columbia River Highway at each mile marker from Troutdale to Dodson. I had a good time finding those and rediscovering the old highway closer to Portland.
From Hood River to Mosier (or Mosier to Hood River) is a beautiful piece of the old Columbia River Gorge Highway. The draw is the Mosier Twin Tunnels. There's already some caches along this stretch. While out walking one day, I noticed there are some of the concrete mile markers that are cache locations closer to Portland. So, what the heck, I thought these too should hide caches. Mile Marker 68 is a park and grab (no permit needed), Mile Marker 69 to Mile Marker 71, you have to park and walk. It's a fairly easy walk on paved road. Log only, you'll need a pen.
