CKTV 1 – LazyTown Traditional Cache
Treecrabs: After yesterday's DNFs, I paid a visit on the way home. Sadly the cache, it's holder and it's hiding place have been destroyed, and I found parts of each of them on the floor. It is not possible to replace given what the hide was, so archive it is. Apologies for a few wasted visits, but I hope it has brought some smiles too, amidst some frustration as it certainly wasn't the easiest!

Cult Kids
TV
This is a non-continuous series of caches all based around Cult
Kids TV programmes. They will come from any period of television
and some will be well known, others less so. The intention is to
provide a range of caching locations, containers and level of
challenge. The series will be added to over time…so watch
this space!
LazyTown is reportedly one of the most expensive children’s
programmes ever made, with the budget for each of the 52 episodes
filmed believed to be in the region of $1,000,000.
It was produced in Reykjavik from 2004-2009 by a combined
Icelandic, American and British production team and crew, running
in more than a hundred countries and at least a dozen languages. It
was created by the gymnastics champion, Magnus Scheving, who also
starred in the show as Sportacus.
The show is a mixture of CGI animation, puppetry and live action
and centres on the pink-haired Stephanie trying to encourage her
friends to stop playing computer games and eating rubbish and
instead, go outside, run about and be healthy (a bit like
geocaching, really ;) )
The villainous Robbie Rotten wants to revert to laziness and spends
most episodes dressing up in silly disguises to try and win bets to
make Sportacus and/or Stephanie leave town so it can all be lazy
again!
In honour of the spirit of the show, this first cache is placed on
the boundary of a park in Tollerton which contains a fantastic play
area, some bigger play equipment for more grown up geocachers,
outside gym equipment and a set of skateboard/bmx ramps, as well as
lots of grass to play on.
Although the cache may be small (smaller than a film canister,
bigger than a nano), hopefully its hiding place will make up for
it!
Unfortunately no dogs are allowed in this park.
Following Plasmawave's comment, the difficulty has been increased
and hint expanded. If you are not going to the park with children,
you may wish to consider what time of day you go for this
cache!
If you use the hint it will make this cache significantly easier
than the stated difficulty.
