The etymology of the place name of Kotoni is "co·ne·e" of the Ainu (place becoming the hollow). It was named "Kotoni" in 1872 by (1871), a Bureau of Development.
Because there is much pedestrian traffic, please be careful about putting in and out.
The cache is only a log sheet, please bring a pen.
琴似の地名の語源は、アイヌ語の「コッ・ネ・イ」（窪地になっている所）である。1872年（明治4年）、開拓使によって「琴似」と命名された。
人通りが多い場所なので、マグルには注意して下さい。
