La cache si trova percorrendo a piedi una strada sterrata ("Strada vicinale Romito-VIgnacci") per circa 300 metri, dopo aver lasciato la macchina alle seguenti coordinate N 42° 43,640' E 011° 30,427' (dove inizia anche la strada vicinale).
NOTE STORICHE
"Rocchette di Fazio" è una località del comune di Semproniano, situata ad ovest del centro del capoluogo comunale, rispetto al quale dista circa 3km. L'abitato è un caratteristico e scenografico borgo medievale che sorge su una pittoresca rupe calcarea, alle porte della Riserva naturale Bosco dei Rocconi. La località, già citata con il nome di "Rocchetta" prima dell'anno mille, divenne nel Duecento un possedimento della famiglia Aldobrandeschi e, alla fine del secolo,passò sotto il controllo di Fazio Cacciaconti, figlio del signore di Trequanda, che ne diede l'attuale denominazione.
Durante il Trecento, il luogo venne prima conquistato dai Baschi di Orvieto e poi dagli Orsini di Pitigliano, entrando a far parte per un breve periodo di tempo dell'omonima contea.
Nel corso del Quattrocento il centro venne conquistato da Siena, seguendone le sorti fino alla caduta della repubblica avvenuta a metà Cinquecento. Da allora, il paese andò incontro ad un lunghissimo periodo di declino, nonostante fosse entrato a far parte del Granducato di Toscana.
Nella seconda metà del secolo scorso hanno avuto inizio una serie di restauri per il recupero del centro storico, che si sono conclusi nel 1998 con il rifacimento della pavimentazione in gran parte del borgo.

[ENG]Near Albegna river I advise you to visit this suggestive small town, because of its beautiful location just on top of a rock, from where may control a great part of all Albegna valley. In the town you can find the old defensive walls, the Aldobrandeschi fortress and 2 small churches.
The cahe is reachable walking on foot on a gravel road (“Strada vicinale Romito-Vignacci”) for quite 300 m. It's possible to leave the car at N 42° 43,640' E 011° 30,427' (where the road starts!)
HISTORICAL NEWS
The town, already mentioned as Rocchetta before the 1000 b.c., in the thirteenth century it became a possession of the family Aldobrandeschi and, at the end of the century, came under the control of Cacciaconti Fazio, son of the lord of Trequanda, who gave the current name.
During the fourteenth century, the place was first conquered by the Basques of Orvieto and then by the Orsini of Pitigliano, joining for a short period of time their county.
During the fifteenth century the town was conquered by Siena, following its fate until the fall of the republic, that took place in mid-sixteenth century. Since then, the town underwent a very long period of decline, despite having joined the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
In the second half of last century began a series of restorations for the recovery of the old town, which ended in 1998 with the renovation of the flooring in most of the village.
