One rumor has 't that before th' Battle o' News Orleans, gentleman o' fortune (Pirate) Jean Lafitte (pronounced lah-FEET) journeyed up th' Mississippi t' find a place t' stash some o' his loot. Wee still reckon gentleman o' fortune Lafitte`s stories o' his journey down th' Loup river n' back. Gentleman o' fortune Lafitte boasted that thar be so many places t' hide his fortune that nobody would find 't.
You be out t' get some booty!

This be intended t' be a relaxin', yet challengin' voyage down th' Wolf River. Wi' a lot o' love gi'en t' th' Ghost section o' th' Wolf River, I wanted t' spread some love t' other parts.
Board yer favorite water vessel an' venture out! This trip be approximately 8.8 miles o' pretty easy paddlin'. Twill take about 3-4 hours t' complete. Th' cache be placed when th' river had a guage depth o' 3.5 ft. If ye want, send me a message t' let me know yer intent t' find this cache. I be sure t' be on stand-by fer any P-A-F needs. Me dosn't want ye t' go through this t' end up wit a DNF!
Tis cache may be done without a water vessel, but twill take ye many moons an' take a LOT o' walk'n
Ther be 7 stages includin' th' final. At each stage, ye be lookin' fer coordinates t' th' next stage. Th' coordinates be clearly posted at each GZ. Stages 1 - 3 each be havin' a dog tag wi' coordinates t' th' next stage. Thar be tacks or reflectors nearby t' give ye a warm & fuzzy that ye be in th' right spot.
The first 3 stages will include a special code. Ye would write this down if ye know what`s good fer ya! These codes be th' only way t' find the Pirate's Booty "Plundered"! cache (GC3KTDY).
Ye can get th' finals for PLUNDERED before leav'n stage 6.
Stage 4 be visible from GZ. Nay a dog-tag. Ye will know 'tis what ye be lookin' fer when ye be seein' 't. No need ta leave ye vessel, but monocular be nice t' have!
Stage 5 be visible from GZ. Nay a dog-tag. Ye will know 'tis what ye be lookin' fer when ye be seein' 't. No need ta leave ye vessel, but monocular be nice t' have!
Stage 6 be visible from GZ. Nay a dog-tag. Ye will know 'tis what ye be lookin' fer when ye be seein' 't. Depend'n on water, may have ta port ta spy 'er. Monocular be nice t' have!
FINAL: ye must port ta plunder the booty.
Ideal water level be at or above th' 3.5 ft level. This Be more difficult if water level be under 3 ft !
Pirate monocular or modern binoculars be helpful.
As cachers plunder this booty, th' ghost o' Shipmate Lafitte will mysteriously replenish wi' a special booty, so each find be like a FTF!
The next t' find this cache can claim th' followin' booty! 'Tis about th' size o' a half-dollar piece.
As far a trad'n items, keep trade items in th "treasure/coin/jewels" theme.
