Note: As you start up the road towards Shinall Mountain you will notice a large No Trespassing sign on the right. This is in reference to the private land on the right side of the road at this point. All roads up to and on Shinall Mountain are public thoroughfares.
I’ve been thinking about this little series for quite a while, so finally my muggle of a daughter was free and she assisted me on placing these hides. This is probably one of those little series (5 caches) that you probably will be better off doing with a partner. Not only for the safety aspect of either the climb or decent, depending on which way you want to tackle it, but you’ll probably want to bring two vehicles – one to park on top of the mountain and one at the bottom. Place one car at my Shinall Mountain – Old KAAY Radio Station Tower cache (GC3021C) and the other at Razorbackfan01’s ‘tween Roundabouts cache (GC1ZJ27). From vehicle to vehicle it’s only a .72 mile hike, but it is somewhat of a booger.
You will be looking for a camo'd 16mm test tube. Just have fun and please BE SAFE!!!!
