On Caribou National Forest Road 22 across Pebble Creek, a small cache for the adventurous!
We placed this small cache while out fishing today, Sean caught a nice cutthroat in the creek just below!
This cache is on the opposing side of the creek from Pebble Road. The creek bed here is built for vehicular crossing via 4x4 or 4-wheeler; equines should also have no problems. Last but not least, it can be reached on foot if you don't mind a trek across a shallow (usually less than a foot deep but depending on the time of the year could be a bit deeper) creek. The cache is high enough off the creek it shouldn't ever get wet but close enough that crossing the creek will get you within 20 meters or so.
The cache is a small Rubbermaid plastic container, bigger than a film-canister, smaller than a decon container. Includes a log book of Rite-in-the-Rain and some pencil nubs for signing. Initial stock includes pins, buttons, 1940's nickels, wheat pennies, marbles, and more. If cache needs maintenance, please note in your log!
