West Adams is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Los Angeles
The First African Methodist Episcopal Church of Los Angeles (First A.M.E. or FAME) is a megachurch in Los Angeles, California, USA, part of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. It is the oldest church founded by African Americans in Los Angeles, dating to 1872. The church now has a membership of more than 19,000 individuals.
This area could be very busy at certain times especially on Sundays..
Adams Blvd could be called Church Row as there are many churches along this street, too many for each to have a geocache at. But if you are interested check them out as you drive East to West. Here is a list of a few:
- Roger Williams Baptist
- Greater Page Temple Church of God In Christ
- Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church
- Greater Page Temple Church-God
- Holman United Methodist Church
- Olympic Korean Church
- West Adams Christian Church
- St Pauls Lutheran Church
- Messiah Baptist Church
- Southern Missionary Baptist Church
My first try at camouflaging a container. Please be careful opening the lid! Initial contents include a bunch of regular swag, including a dodger card, few coins from the world, and a great geo-coin for FTF to move on. ***UPDATE Sept 30, 2012*** In July many trees were cut down on this street and initial cache was destroyed. I replaced the cache with a 35mm size but with some interesting camo. Adjusted coords, cache size in description and hint.
***UPDATE OCT 18, 2014*** The trees have grown a bit now so can replace with a nice bigger sized cache again as it was originally. Please use stealth when looking and replacing cache. Hide better for next cacher. ***UPDATE JULY 5, 2015*** Replaced cache with smaller size again. Same location, hanging camoed now.
***UPDATE SEPT 3, 2016*** Replaced cache again. Same location, hanging camoed again.
