Be a prepared cacher and BYO pen - they often go missing.
On any windy day you can usually see a few energetic bods out in the sea screaming across the waves with the wind at their backs and the spray on their faces – on a natural high from slicing through the crystal clear waters on their short boards and then leaping high into the air when the wind lifts their kites.
West Beach, South Australia – my beach.
On a good day it is a sea of colour and spectacle from the big kites, and on a summer weekend when everyone is out I can spend hours just watching them and wishing I were younger/stronger or whatever it takes to do this sport! Spend a half hour and sit on the beach and enjoy them. Their enthusiasm for life is exciting to see, and feel.
