Dedicated to my Dad because I always joke about this when we go fishing. As a kid I used to fish off my parents dock up north using a cane pole with no reel. I caught many fish using this method. One time I hooked a huge catfish and kept hauling it up to the dock while shouting for someone to bring the landing net which I always forget. The line eventually snapped and the fish won the battle. When I told my Dad that I lost a catfish he told me "There are no catfish in this lake." 25 years later I see a picture on the wall of his cabin with him hoisting a 14lb catfish. I asked him where he caught it and he said, "Off the dock." OK, Dad.
