This cache is placed near but not on the summit of Porphyry Peak Southwest, a Ranked Peak in Grand County having an elevation of 11,161 feet. Reaching the peak represents a fun but steep climb up from a trail; the top offers splendid views of the surrounding area.
The cache container is a good-sized Rx vial that's been spray painted. Bring your own writing implement. And bring extra clothing and food/water in the event you experience a weather change or become delayed for any reason.
