Geocache Description:

This puzzle cache involves a 4-5 km walk around RSBP Fen Drayton Lakes Nature Reserve. You will need to solve the clues along the way in order to work out the co-ordinates of where the cache is located.

The published coordinates are located at the Holywell Lake car park and close to the St Ives to Cambridge guided busway request stop. Clue A can be found at these co-ordinates. From there follow the path to the river, turning left when you reach the bank, and solving the rest of the clues (in the order below) as you go. The path, and final cache location, do get quite overgrown in the summer but are always passable. Please replace container carefully, and not too deep in foliage, as one has already been lost!
The cache location is a bit further along the riverbank from the final clue. You might want to use the map at the final clue location to plan an alternative route back to the car-park. (Along the busway works well.)
Exchange the answer to each clue with its associated letter to find the co-ordinates below:

Cache location:
N 52 1B.DG0 W 000 0C.FEA

A: How many tens of pairs of bitterns were recorded here in the late 1950s?

**The car park is currently being extended and the info. sign has been removed. The answer to A is '8'.**

B: Look for a ‘no entry’ sign followed by two words. Subtract the number of letters in the second word from the number of letters in the first.

C: According to the sign-post, how many hundreds of metres have you walked from the car-park so far?

D: How many letters are missing: The Old ____ _____ Inn?

E: Two more than the number of utility poles in the first field over the river.

F: How many windows (not panes) are there in the side of Holywell Church tower facing you?

G: The number of kingfishers on the 'Welcome to Fen Drayton Lakes' notice board.
