Geocache Description:

York County Hikes – People play this game for a variety of reasons. For us, geocaching represents a way to explore the natural beauty hidden around us. We decided to place a series of caches that will take you to some lesser used parts of the county and will hopefully get your heart pumping at the same time. Have fun, be safe, and enjoy all of what York County has to offer!

The cache is at the posted coordinates. Isn't it great when you find a cache in which the last log(s) is a 'Did Not Find' or DNF? I will admit many times I will stay away from a cache that has mutliple DNFs posted recently. Finding a cache that has been DNF'd shows either some caching skill or luck. So to celebrate a smiley after frowneys I propose the following challenge: Find and list caches in which you found the cache immediately after a posted 'Did Not Find'. You will need a total of 12 points from DNF logs - these can be multiple DNFs for one cache or you may list twelve individual caches. In your found it log - list the cache name, the GC code, and point value for each cache. For the FTF, please list the caches immediately - not in two or three days.

Example: "Thicker than Water", GC21TWJ, 1 point

Some guidelines:

1. In order to get a point you must find the cache immediately after a posted DNF(s). For example if there was a string of 4 DNFs and then you were the third person after the string to log a find - these do not count.

2. However if three people post a DNF on a cache and then you find the container - you get three points towards the 12 total. For example I recently found 'Overlooking the Conestoga' (GC2KW9V) - there were 2 current "Didn't Find It" logs immediately before my find - so I get two points towards the 12 total.

3. You cannot count one of your own DNFs as a point - we do not want anyone running up the total before a smiley.

4. Finds made as a group count for everyone in the group. To elaborate, even if your found it log is not immediately after the DNF(s), you still get the points if you were caching as a group and the group made the find immediately after the posted DNFs.

5. Only posted "Did Not Find" logs count towards the total. "Notes" that are posted do not count even if the note describes a failure to find the cache.

6. Previous finds do count towards the total. As an optional challenge, try to get 12 points on all new finds. For additional motivation, the first person to complete the challenge using all new finds after the publishing date will receive a prize.

7. Cache is a small container located a short distance off the trail. Difficulty of the cache is due to the challenge and the terrain includes an easy hike on fire roads.

8. Cache is located on State Game Lands - wear orange when necessary.
