Geocache Description:

A nice view of the falls at the Old Mill. Sister cache to "Powerful View". Park and Grab. Bring your own pencil.

This area was heavily damaged in June 2006 by a severe flood that carried parts of the dam over half a mile downstream, leaving it as you see it now. Historically, this dam was used to create hydroelectric power for the Dolgeville Mill. You can see photos of the generator under the link associated with this cache. I hope you enjoy this beautiful and seldom noted view of Dolgville. Modest cash prize in cache for FTF. There is no need to leave the roadway to find this cache, so please remain on the road side of the guard rail.
