Geocache Description:

Placed with massive thanks to the landowner for allowing this cache being placed on his land. He expressed his desire to keep the memory alive as well.

PLEASE LEAVE AREA CLEAN AND TIDY.

Another in my series of caches around East Anglia in memory of the Mighty Eighth AF in WW2.
This airfield is new even to me!!, my first visit.
There is a good website showing war time photo’s of the area and a memorial at the local church. I’m aware there are a few buildings from the era still standing around here too.
For me all my caches provide a haunting silence in the countryside which was once filled with the roar of engines and jeeps.
Respect the area.... and take a moment silence to respect the sacrifice made.
Cache includes:- Log, pencil, info sheet, and a few trading items
