Pierwsza skrzynka z cyklu ZAMKI, PALACE I REZYDENCJE KOTLINY JELENIOGORSKIEJ.
Stara Kamienica jest jedna z najstarszych wsi w calej Kotlinie Jeleniogorskiej o bogatej historii. Wedlug kroniki Trautmanna pierwsza budowle obronna wzniosl tu w 1004 roku Boleslaw Chrobry, a w 1241 roku rozbudowal ja ksiaze legnicki Boleslaw Rogatka. W 1241 roku ksiaze podarowal zamek kasztelanowi Sibotho, protoplascie znanego slaskiego rodu von Schaffgotsch. Do rodziny Schaffgotsch zamek nalezal do 1641 roku, kiedy to zostal skonfiskowany przez cesarza Ferdynanda III (owczesny wlasciciel Hans Urlich zostal oskarzony o zamiar obalenia cesarza). Rozbudowana w drugiej polowie XIV wieku warownia zostala zniszczona w czasie wojen husyckich. Zamek odbudowano w XV wieku. W 1562 roku przeprowadzono przebudowe w stylu renesansowym. Dnia 20 sierpnia 1616 roku zamek splonal calkowicie. Odbudowa przeprowadzona przez Johanna Ulricha von Schaffgotscha trwala do 1630 roku. W czasie wojny trzydziestoletniej zamek zostal w 1640 roku zajety przez niewielki oddzial szwedzki. Po konfiskacie mienia rodziny von Schaffgotsch, cesarz sprzedal Stara Kamienice wraz z zamkiem wegierskiemu generalowi Nicolausowi von Palffy. Nastepnym wlascicielem dobr zostal w 1680 roku hrabia von Zierotin, a w roku 1756 jeleniogórski kupiec Smith. W 1758 roku we wsi wybuchl pozar, w wyniku którego splonal równiez zamek. Po tym pozarze nie zostal juz odbudowany. Do naszych czasow zachowala sie tylko zniszczona czworoboczna wieza.

Miejsce niestety mocno zaniedbane i wskazane jest zachowanie ostroznosci przy poruszaniu sie po terenie zamku.

Stara Kamienica is one of the oldest villages in the whole region with a rich history. According to the Trautmann chronicles, the first defensive structure erected here Boleslaw Chrobry in 1004, in 1241 years it has expanded by the Prince of Legnica Boleslaw Rogatka. In 1241, Duke gave the castle to Sibotho Castellan, known ancestor of the silesian family von Schaffgotsch. The castle belonged to the Schaffgotsch family to 1641, when it was confiscated by the emperor Ferdinand III (former owner,Hans Ulrich, was accused of intending to overthrow the Emperor.) Expanded castle in the second half of the XIV century was destroyed during the Hussite wars. The stronghold was rebuilt in the fifteenth century. In 1562 the reconstruction was carried out in the Renaissance style. On August 20, 1616, the castle burnt down completely. Reconstruction, which was carried out by Johann Ulrich von Schaffgotsch, lasted until 1630. During the Thirty Years War the castle was occupied in 1640 by a small branch of the Swedish. After the confiscation of property from Schaffgotsch family, the emperor sold Stara Kamienica with the castle to Nicolaus von Palffy, who was hungarian general. The next owner of the property in 1680 was Count von Zierotin, and in 1756 Smith who was Jelenia Góra merchant. In 1758 a fire broke out in the village and the castle burned down. After the fire hasn't been rebuilt. Survived Until our times survived only destroyed a four-sided tower.
