So you've found a few geocaches and now you want to hide one of your own...
Well, not all caches are created equal. Some are high quality hides that last for years. Others don't last more than a few months or require constant maintenance. So if you really want to hide a cache, it only makes sense to do it the right way. This cache is here to help show you how...

The listed coordinates will not lead you to the cache!

Ladies and gentlemen, here is a cache that will teach you the fundamentals of producing a high quality hide. You will be required to pass a 20-question quiz in order to obtain coordinates. This quiz covers many things that promote a long cache life and others that will make your time as a cache owner much easier. All this information is located in the Groundspeak Geocaching Guidelines and Knowledge Books.

Now I know there's a lot of stuff covered in those places. So to make things easier for you, I have provided links to the specific chapters covered in the exam so that you will have to do a minimal amount of reading and research.

Now, I know there are many people who just don't like to take quizzes. So as an added incentive, not only will you get a smiley for your efforts, but there is also a geocoin in the cache you can discover to show off your newly gained knowledge. Plus, you will enjoy the reward of knowing that your hides will provide enjoyment to cachers for many years to come.
