Geocache Description:

A cache located along the Interlake Pioneer Trail. The South Interlake ATV Club manages this public recreational trail. This trail is for hikers, mountain bikers, horse back riders, ATVers and snowmobilers to use.

A small ammo box full of treasures!
This geocache was put together for the children of Garden Grove Child Care. GGCC is a school age program in Winnipeg. The children became involved with this geocaching power trail project because one of the staff is involved with the South Interlake ATV Club. Seekersuzie introduced geocaching to the children in the summer of 2010 and many of them have caught the geocaching bug! When we go out on a field trip somewhere, several of them will ask, “Are there any geocaches here?” Now I just load the GPS with caches that may be in the vicinity of where we are going, just in case we have some time to find them.
When the idea of a geocaching power trail was brought up, I knew just who to recruit to help make some of the caches for the trail! The children of GGCC are responsible for putting together 17 of the caches you will find along the Interlake Pioneer Trail. I hope you enjoy them, and appreciate the personal touches the children put into creating them, including the first to find certificates and the names of the caches. Seekersuzie would like to dedicate this GGCC TREASURE BOX cache to all the children who helped get this project off the ground. Thanks everyone and I hope you all get the chance to get out on the trail one day to find your caches!
