While we are caching in the Atawhai area we often think about "Cross Words"– the first 5/5 cache we ever did (thanks Integersmirk). We also enjoy the cryptic names often given to caches.
This is a much easier cache than "Cross Words" but inspired by the original.
Reading the logs of "Cross Words" it seems that this introduced some cachers to cryptic crosswords. This cache will confirm that no knowledge is ever wasted.
Solve the puzzle.
Find the owners and you will get the values of BF BT IS KE KN SS UK and WR.
NOTE Answers to Q 7, 11 (both), 12 (across) and 16 are only part of the cache names. If there are 2 possiblities, go with the cache still operating. If 'The' is in the cache name, 'The' is not in the crossword.
Then go to South 41 A B.C D E East 173 F G.H I J
Where A = IS B = BF C = KN + SS D = BT + SS E = KN + UK
F = KE G = IS – WR H = BF – KE I = KN + WR J = BT + IS
(with a check sum of 37 for the missing coordinate digits)
NOTE Replacement cache put in January 29 2012. Please add 4 to your south coordinate and 3 to the east coordinate.
