Lewis-Clark stopped here. This area is a state rest area. It is called Canoe Camp because this is where Lewis-Clark carved canoes. There is an example of a real hand carved log canoe to touch. Great place to walk the kids and dogs. Has restrooms and picnic tables. Beautiful view of the river. Walk the path and read the info signs. New container has been replaced as of 9/7/2014.
The cache is a water bottle. It contains 2 free ride tokens for the Missoula carousel, flag book marker, angel keychain, cup snuggie and action figures. There is a slight down hill slope.
