There is a fungus among us! This is another cache on the Toad Lake Road. There are a couple parking spots along the west (waterside) of the road. Please refrain from parking in the private driveway. Thanks.
Cache is placed near the road about 15-20 feet from the last large telephone pole when you are driving north on Toad Lake Road. Placement is at the base of a large tree. Be sure to shut the lid well and re-cover the cache with sticks, etc.
This is the site where frogladyj played detective a few years ago. Frogladyj and her husband and their neighbors were missing mail. Frogladyj took it upon herself to hide in the woods and watch the mailboxes. Along came a red car, and it stopped and the occupant went through the mailboxes, one at a time sorting through the mail. Frogladyj was busy with her camera, clicking his license plate and taking pictures as he went through all the mailboxes. She contacted the Bellingham Police Dept., and they set up a sting and caught the criminal red handed the next day.
Sometime later Frogladyj was featured on PM Northwest when this mail heist story was featured.
The mailboxes have been moved from this site, but there is parking for one or two cars here.
