Geocache Description:

Milford was once home to more than a dozen dairy farms including the Old Savage Farm. Today there are many places to shop locally in Milford, but Savage Farm stands empty.

Benjamin Hopkins built himself a Colonial farmhouse just after the Revolutionary War. Situated next to a moraine, the farmhouse is protected from the elements and above the nearby marshland. Hopkins then built a brick Federal house down the road and sold the colonial to the Savage family, who passed it down for 200 years before selling it to the current owner. Park safely off the road and you'll have just a few steps to make. As you approach there will be a big sign that you're getting close. If you see the flying cow you're facing the wrong way.
