Where the Bear Goes in the Woods Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sioux Moon: Not accessible in snow which began in October. Environment has changed dramatically since the GC was first placed. Due to difficulty in relocating what made this 'spot' so much fun. the cache will not be relocated. I will search personal archives for a picture of the former environment. It was fun while it lasted!

Nearby Waterdog Trail is a nice one in all seasons. Of course, each season demands its own preparation - with some commonalities such as proper clothing, gear, plenty of water, the usual for outings in the Grand Mesa National Forest.

Geocache Description:

Sioux Moon discovered this site a few years ago and it has become a favorite to share with friends.

Paved parking @ Jumbo Lake is just over a mile from the cache. If you have a high clearance vehicle you can get a bit closer to the trail head via the first turn to WaterDog Reservoir. (A firsherman's choice). Or follow the entry, unimproved-road around the long way but gets you closer to the cache. The actual trail to where the bear goes is accessible by hiking, bicycling or horseback riding - no motorized vehicles allowed.

This is accessible only before the snow falls and after the snow melts. Bring your bug spray!
