Geocache Description:

Nearest public carpark is in the Preston Village Hall carpark. A public footpath cuts through to Manor Road and towards the cache. The cache is hidden amongst long grass and overgrowth so there is no access for pushchairs/wheel chairs - sorry. Watch out for traffic on this narrow street.

Although we recommend parking in the Village Hall carpark, there is also some on street parking on Manor Road though please be considerate to residents. Also, please be very aware of the nearby Muggle dwellings when searching for the cache. The cache is situated at the beginning of a public footpath that takes you across the fields to the village of Lelley. The field beyond the cache is reputed to be the site of the original medieval village of Preston and is of some archeological interest. The sign at the beginning of the path should read 'BEWARE OF THE SHEEP' because they are the only livestock you are likely to meet. Makes a great cache and dash due to its close proximity to the road. Access to the cache is best from the field side of the hedge. Look out for 'Crossing over with Stile - the Sequel!
The cache is a small plastic box with log, pencil (though it might be a good idea to bring your own pen just in case....) and it started life with a spider man badge, a 2 Rupee note from the Central Bank of Ceylon and a Pliers key ring. This is our first cache and we hope you enjoy searching for it.
