A small cache placed close to the river Avon, a short walk from Easton Grey. Terrain is overall flat, some stiles to traverse as this is by a footpath. Cache is well hidden - so please re-hide exactly as you found it! :-). Nearest parking is in Easton Grey.
Note whilst on maps the Fosse is marked as a byway open to cars, this section has at long last been closed to them so cyclists, walkers and horses only.
It's in the name really - it's near to the side of the river Avon, off a footpath to the east of the Wiltshire village of Easton Grey. Finding this cache could be easily combined with my other local caches in Easton Grey and slightly further afield in Shipton Moyne (which are harder than this one, incidently). It's a very quiet and tranquil area and this cache is in one of my favourite local places - great for a picnic or an (at your own risk) swim in the river, or a nice walk/cycle ride.
Cache contains simply a logbook, welcome note, a sachet of silica gel to keep it dry (please don't remove it) and a couple of small swaps. There's room for the smallest of swaps, but nothing more.
Also, it's not in the river, in case your gps decides to take you there!!
