This cache was placed for the IGO Hike-n-Seek 2011.

This cache is located near Table Rock.

Table Rock marks the location where, on July 4, 1838, early settlers of Boardman Township held one of the first celebrations in the observance of the anniversary of American Independence in what is now Iowa.

On July 4, 1913, the Daughters of the American Revolution erected a plaque on Table Rock, marking this historic event.
