Geocache Description:

A sneaky little cache to mark the old original Atascadero Administration building which was built in 1918, and is currently under repair. Stealth is the key to this one, as there are muggles around most of the time. Just a log sheet. BYOP Please be gentle, and replace carefully. Good Luck
...Congrats to Dr. Grackle for the FTF!

History...
Close behind the completion of the Printery Building was the Atascadero Administration Building, which until the 2003 earthquake, served as the seat of government for the city. The building is also a California Historical Landmark (No. 958). It was built over a four-year period, from 1914 to 1918. The original cost of construction was estimated at $250,000. The Historical Society’s Museum was in the lower rotunda: a room originally designed to serve as an exhibition hall for local products, along with cultural and artistic displays. It is now located at the Colony House. The smaller rooms around the lower and upper rotunda served as offices for the many functions of the Colony, just as they did for the city.
