Enjoy views of the Triadelphia Reservoir from the Pigtail Recreation Area. The land is owned by the Washington Suburban Sanitation Commission (WSSC) and they granted permission for the placement of this cache. Note that the Pigtail Recreation Area is closed at night and often during the winter months.
From the Pigtail parking lot, walk through the yellow gate to enter the foot trail next to the reservoir. Walk on the trail about one-tenth of a mile until you reach a wooden post with information about Pignut Hickory trees. This will be before the curve in the trail. Go left off the trail up the hill about 150 paces to find the cache. It is a 7" x 4" x 4" plastic container.
