Geocache Description:

A nano! Please bring your own writing implement.

One of only two lighthouses in Bermuda! The other, Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse, is considerably larger. St. David’s Lighthouse was built in 1879 and is still in operation. It uses a fixed light while Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse flashes.

The reason for the lighthouse’s construction was to eliminate the illegal practice of shining lights from shore to lure ships onto the reefs. Damaged ships were easier to plunder !
