Geocache Description:

This should be a quick and easy cache. It's a small lock-and-lock type container hidden near an outer edge of Salem Willows Park. This one is almost a park and grab - good if you're short on time, but if you have some time to spare, check out the rest of this great park. This is a nice little area of the park, though sometimes after dark, odd people have been seen loitering in the vicinity.

Here's a heads-up to please be careful and watch young children as you near the cache, especially if it's wet out. The walk to the cache is mostly flat, but the last few feet are downhill on grass and dirt which might be slippery. Just beyond the cache, there's a drop-off onto a rocky beach area, so be cautious and don't fall off.

The cache was placed in a (usually) less muggle-saturated area than much of the rest of the park, but try to be stealthy, as this park is a popular place. In case you're not familiar with Salem Willows, it's a nice area in which to just take a walk or have a picnic, and, seasonally, there are places open to buy food, play arcade games, and more. Parking is available for free, with metered parking closest to the businesses.

This cache's name comes from, first, us having seen some very nice sunsets while spending time here. Second, we've seen a lot of spiders that hang out on the rocky areas of the beaches. Third, Salem Willows has a hearty skunk population. We've seen them throughout the park many times over the years. They usually start to come out around the time the sun is setting. The skunks here seem to be pretty used to people though, so unless you really scare one, you probably don't have to worry about being sprayed.

Please be sure to close the container securely and replace the camo, and please don't leave any type of food, liquid, or meltable items in the cache. As with any cache, if it's raining or snowing, please shield the log and cache contents from moisture. Thank you!
