A peice of Motorsport History which is no longer used
The cache is placed closed to an area that was once
Bundaberg’s Carina Speedway . The oval dirt track was a very
popular venue in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s but
unfortunately has been abandoned and is now no longer accessible.
It is overgrown and barely recognisable, except for a coloured
entrance gate, light poles and a few buildings that you can see in
the distance if you look hard enough. The cache is located on a
quiet dirt road south of Bundaberg. Enough room to park beside the
road near the cache and not a lot of traffic as it is a no through
road and usually only used by farmers. This site was chosen as the
trackables that we placed here to start the cache off both have
something to do with engines.
