The Woodcock Hill Walk is a short circular walk just over 1 mile in length (1.64km) and comprises of 4 traditional caches plus 1 bonus cache. Should take no more than an hour to complete.
Cache is not at the publshed co-ordinates.
In order to complete this cache you will need to have found #1 #2 #3 #4 of the Gaffer's Woodcock Hill Walk series and made a note of the clues that were inside each of the 4 caches.
The clues will be based on the following subjects so you may want to do some research before you set out.
* Semaphore
* Morse Code
* Maritime flags
* Irish (Gaelic) Numbers
For the final 2 co-ordinates you will need to look at the following link to the Woodcock Hill Village Green webpage and answer this
woodcockhill.org.uk
* According to records, Woodcock Hill was passed to Anthony Denney by Henry VIII in 1C39 - write down C
* Woodcock Hill can be found at Grid reference TQ 195 F55 - write down F
You now should have enough information to give you 6 co-ordinates.
The terrain rating is still fairly high, reflecting the trail from cache # 4 to the bonus. After cache # 4 you will need to double back on yourself for around 80 metres to rejoin the circular trail.
The cache can be found at
N51 38.ABC W000 16.DEF
