Geocache Description:

NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES

Recently my great Uncle Lou moved to Minnesota from the east coast to be closer to family.  When his moving van arrived my dad and I helped him get settled into his new apartment.  Box after box was moved in and put away.  It took all day to make sure that Uncle Lou was settled in and comfortable.  As my dad and I were leaving Uncle Lou called us over and showed us two boxes that hadn’t been unpacked yet.  He told us he wanted us to have them for all the help today.  We told him that wasn’t nessasary but he insisted.  We picked up the boxes as we were leaving and loaded them in the trunk of dad’s car.

About a week went by when I received a call from my dad saying that I needed to come over and open these boxes with him.  He said that Uncle Lou had been asking if we had looked through them yet and was curious what we thought.  We made plans to get together Wednesday night.  Wednesday arrived quicker than I thought.  Once at dad’s house we sat on his couch and started to open the first box.  On the top were square 6 inch boxes.  They all looked pretty old.  I quickly counted them.  It looked to be about ten of them.  My dad opened the first box.  It was a baseball with a signature on it.  The slip of paper in the box said it was signed by Oil Can Boyd.  The next one was Daryl Irvine, then Skeeter Newsome,  Ivy Andrews,  Babe Ruth,  Cy Young,  Joe Cronin,  Tommy O’Brien,  Bobby Doerr and finally Hoot Evers.  All of them were signed.  We just looked at each other in awe.  I had totally forgot that Uncle Lou was a diehard Red Sox fan.  The rest of the boxes were filled with what looked to be programs from every game the Red Sox played.  As we flipped through them most had autographs on player pictures and on the programs.  We even found world series programs complete with the entire teams signatures.  We were utterly shocked.  We did come across a separate envelope.  There weren’t any programs in it but there were what looked to be like individual game score sheets.  On the front of the envelope it said “Favorite Games”  When we asked Uncle Lou about them he said they were his favorite twelve games that were pre-season and not recorded.  I have looked everywhere on the internet to try to find information on them and cannot find anything.  Uncle Lou wouldn’t tell why they were his favorite games they just were.  I have provided pics of the score sheets for those games below.  Maybe you can unlock the secret why they were Uncle Lou’s favorite games.
