Geocache Description:

Ah, fall. The superior season. What is better than hoodies, apple cider, and carving pumpkins? An event with apple cider, carving pumpkins, and geocaching!

This event will start at 5:00.

I will provide as much chili as I can, depending on how many crock pots I can accrue between now and then. I will also provide meatballs and apple cider. Everyone else should try to bring a side or dessert, but it's by no means mandatory. However, there will be a prize for the most creative dish name- Baked beans can be bat livers in bbq sauce, tendons and eyeballs for spaghetti, etc. Let me know in the rsvp if you are bringing anything, and what it is.

There will also be games while we wait for it to get dark, which should be right around seven; these include bobbing for apples, pass the pumpkin, pin the nose on the pumpkin, Pin in the witch, and raffles for drawings (The tickets will not need to be bought; everyone that rsvps will receive a ticket), and more. There will also be a prize given to the best (pre-carved) pumpkin, so feel free to bring yours and compete.

That being said, for those that wish to stay, there will be a night caching portion as well. If you plan to stay for this portion of the event, please let me know so I know how many to plan for. If you just want to come for dinner and to socialize, but don't want to night cache, that's fine.

The night cache portion will consist of several stages leading to one final end stage.

Did you know Matter Park is haunted? Neither did I, until I was roaming about thinking of cool places to hide these stages for this night cache late last night; I happened to run into a few of these apparitions, and they were curious as to what I was doing roaming around so late by myself. I quickly explained what geocaching was, and they were rather enthused- and wanted to join the party. So who knows who might show up...

When you rsvp, make sure you include:
First name
What food you are bringing
How many are coming
Whether you plan to do the nightcaching portion or not

Hope to see you all there!
