Geocache Description:

This cache is just a few miles from Orofino. It is at the upper end of McGill Hole thus the name. This is probably the best known and most used of the Clearwater River fishing holes for steelhead. At one time there was a primitive boat ramp here but later removed and the fishermen are encuraged to use the Pinkhouse boatramp just upstream from here.
Some years back whene the boatramp was here a young lady from Orofino drove here and stopped at the top of this boat ramp and was out communicating with her husband in a boat when he started yelling at her and she turned to find her car descending the boatramp to join her husband in the river. Her car was lost.
FReplaced this cache again today.
