Geocache Description:

"Miami Island has for years been referred to as "Monkey" Island. Nobody seems to know why. A former resident recalls that as a child, he and his friends used to go there and swing from the wild grapevines hanging from the trees on the island. He always referred to the island as "Monkey Island". This theory has not been verified." ~ Quote from Mishawaka city website.

This is a 4 stage Multi-cache, consisting of 3 micro caches and 1 regular sized cache at the end.

There's been a lot of monkeying around lately. The monkeys have gone crazy and I can no longer handle them all. Please, feel free to take ONE off my hands. An adoption bottle is available. If you find the "Adopt A Monkey" bottle empty, please note that in your log entry. I will be sure to replenish the supply. If you decide to adopt, please leave a treasure for the next cacher to find.

CONGRATULATIONS! goes out to: ICL2 and jeannecr, for being the FIRST TO FIND--in the rain no less! Great job! Thank you for adopting a monkey, too!

When you have the coordinates for your final destination, and have located the cache, please be sure to read the note on the inside of the lid. There is ample parking at all 4 stages and a bit of driving & walking involved. All stages are highly populated with "Muggles." Beware! You'll need to bring your own writing implement. Thank you and good luck!

Final Cache - PLEASE BE SURE TO PLACE EVERYTHING BACK IN THE PLASTIC BAG AND SEAL TIGHT. Container is not waterproof. Thank You!
