Originally this cache used a small recycled plastic bottle formerly holding orange juice, but later this was replaced by a slightly larger 1.25L plastic bottle. The original coordinates were S38° 25.490' E175° 6.139' and the container was in a small depression on the sloping ground about 20m SSW of the cross, and covered by an old plank. But this area was trampled by cattle around mid 2004 and the original cache appears to have been buried, or perhaps found and removed by someone. A replacement was put in place 22 October 2004 at a slightly different position but you still may want to search for the old container also! On 12 Sep 2020 the cache was refreshed, with a new container, and a slightly different spot for the hide.
You should allow up to one hour from your vehicle for a return trip at a leisurely pace, although fit young things in a hurry could probably halve that time. The last part of the walk is quite steep and probably not suitable for very young children. Wear sturdy footwear with a decent tread, especially in damp conditions. Watch out for thistles, and (at times) "animal waste". It's about a 100m climb from the start to the top.
If, at the start, you are in doubt, veer right!
