Cornelia's "Big City Park" Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeocachingJoy: Sadly, while out getting some peace of mind during these stressful times checking on a few of my caches in this park and at the dog park, we discovered all 3 caches in this area are MIA. This one was MIA from its tree hidy spot off of the trail, the one on the boardwalk was missing from the well hidden fishing line and the one that ruined the future of me replacing these caches was in how I found my favorite creative cache at the dog park destroyed and laying on the ground with cache log container that was attached also MIA. :(. I will not be replacing any of these. :(

Geocache Description:

Cornelia's city park, often referred to as "Big City Park", is the city's largest park, with 20+ acres. Paved Walking Trail with some Boardwalk areas, Rec Baseball Field, Tennis & Basketball Courts, Picnic Tables, Pavillion & Restrooms. Park is also home to the beautiful display of holiday lights, (Christmas in the Park) as well as the new HABER-JAM festival showcasing music and art in the park.

Cache is located just off of the main paved and boardwalk path, on the old primitive walking trail. You can search for and enjoy part of the paved trail and boardwalk from either start of the two parking areas before the cache search takes you off of the main trail, and onto this non maintained area. Off the trail, ??? Well, this path was the original walking trail before the new trail system was put in place. I enjoyed it daily and on many occasions shared this path with a passing deer or two. Near the cache often, I still see hoof prints. You can still head out along the primitve trail if feeling adventurous, it runs parallel to the wooden bridge, but is slightly overgrown iN some areas.
The paved path is handicapped accessible and dog friendly. This path is also recognized on the (American Trails.org) website. *** The original path trail to the cache is not handicapped accessible. **Please use major stealth when hunting for this cache, this park is heavy in Muggle activity all hours and my caches seem to be the Muggles favorite things to find as well.
