Santuari Font de la Salut Traditional Cache

A dos kilómetros al sur de Traiguera hay el maravilloso monasterio " Santuari Font de la Salut " (Fuente de la Salud).

El edificio consiste en una iglesia católica y varios edificios adyacentes de estilo Renacimiento, el barroco y también algunos restos de gótico.

La construcción de la primera capilla comenzó en 1384, y más tarde, una iglesia más grande fue construida en el siglo 15. El sitio conoció su esplendor más grande en el siglo 16, pero el monasterio continuó su extensión después de esta época.

Two kilometers south of Traiguera there is the beautiful monastery “Santuari Font de la Salut” (fountain of health).

The building consists of a Catholic church and several adjacent buildings in Renaissance, Baroque and also some remnants of the Gothic. In 1384 the building of the first chapel began and later in the fifteenth century a larger church was built. The period of the greatest splendor was the sixteenth century, but after that time the monastery was still being extended.

A visit to the monastery costs €2 but it really is more than worth it! (see the pictures below)

A deux kilomètres de Traiguera, se trouve le merveilleux monastère "Santuari Font de la Salut" (Fontaine de la Santé).

Le bâtiment consiste en une église catholique et plusieurs bâtiments adjacents de style Renaissance, baroque et aussi quelques restes de gothique.

La construction de la première chapelle commença en 1384, et plus tard, une plus grande église fut construite au 15ème siècle. Le site connut sa pleine splendeur au 16ème siècle, mais le monastère continua son extension après cette époque.

La visite du monastère coûte 2 € mais elle en vaut vraiment la peine! (voir photos ci-dessous).

Twee kilometer ten zuiden van Traiguera ligt het prachtige klooster “ Santuari Font de la Salut” (fontein van de gezondheid). 

Het gebouw bestaat uit een katholieke kerk en enkele aangrenzende gebouwen in renaissance, barok en ook enkele resten uit de gotiek. in 1384 begon de bouw van de eerste kapel, later, in de vijftiende eeuw bouwde men een grotere kerk. De periode van de grootste pracht en praal was in de zestiende eeuw maar ook daarna werd er nog verder gebouwd aan het klooster. (zie de foto’s beneden)

Een bezoek aan het klooster kost €2 maar het is echt meer dan de moeite waard!
