A fairly easy find in a neat State Forest. This replaces the original Chisolm Trail Cache which has come up missing.
This cache is located in the Whipporwill Corners State Forest just south of the village of Russell. There is a dirt road and a yellow gate. When the gate is open, you can drive part way in to an open area and park, or if your car is good on dirt roads, you can drive to within about .25 miles of the cache. The gate is closed when the area is very wet and in winter. But it is a beautiful hike!

The dirt road forms a loop which is a nice hike - the same distance whether you return the same way or do the loop. There are additional trails in this small patch of State Land which all end up back on the road.
When you get to the highest point of the road, your GPS will point you down a foot trail, which you will leave shortly and bushwack through some pines.
The cache is loaded with small toy critters, and if you can, try to stay within the theme of this cache. Enjoy this beautiful, rarely explored area!

The road entrance is a bit south of the actual cache. Look carefully!
CONGRATULATIONS TO PSYRETT FOR THE FTF. Unfortunately, no lottery winners. I think Sir Psyrett has been the FTF for MOST of my caches!
