Geocache Description:

Edge of the crags. Children will enjoy it but with great care. Might be more difficult for the older cacher.

Full details of these caches including parking coordinates can be found on WWW - No MV and WWW - Bradfield View.

Not an easy cache for anyone who is not so good on their feet. This is a great playground for us dogs and little cachers but a bit basic for mountain goats. However if older cachers can get into "mountain goat mode" that will be useful. Please take extra care around the rocks as some can be loose, and can be slippery when wet.

Much research has been done about the legendary figure Robin Hood. Evidence exists to support the fact that he actually lived around Wadsley Common. A document held in the Public Records Office at Kew relates to a "Robert Hode (Hood), otherwise known as Robert Dore of Wadsley (West Riding) given the King’s pardon on 22nd May 1382.” (Roll of King’s Pardons 4-5 Richard II 1382). Loxley and Wadsley commons at that time were held by the de-Wadsley family. A "cave" beneath a large rock resting on others near here is locally known as "Robin Hood's Cave". I wonder if Robin Hood had a pet dog when he lived in the forest? Now that would be great fun.

Cache is a large round screw-top tub with camo tape.

These caches are on/near a Local Nature Reserve. Please respect the sensitivity of the area. Thanks are given to Sheffield City Council - Parks and Countryside Office for permission to set these caches.

FTF congratulations to Mr&Mrs Birdwatchdave and Ska-face.
