Geocache Description:

THIS IS A NIGHT CACHE, A FLASHLIGHT OR HEAD LAMP IS NEEDED TO HELP YOU SEE THE TRAIL. HAVE FUN AND BE CAREFULL!!! PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE ANY OF THE TRAIL MARKERS SO THAT OTHER CACHERS CAN ENJOY! :)

"The Weeping Woman" (La Llorona) is a widespread legend in Mexico and Central America. Although several variations exist, the basic story tells of a beautiful woman by the name of Maria killing her children by drowning them, in order to be with the man that she loved. When the man rejects her, she kills herself. Challenged at the gates of heaven as to the whereabouts of her children, she is not permitted to enter the afterlife until she has found them. Maria is forced to wander the Earth for all eternity, searching in vain for her drowned offspring, with her constant weeping giving her the name "La Llorona".

In some versions of the tale, La Llorona kidnaps wandering "GEOCACHERS", or children who disobey their parents. People who claim to see her say she comes out at night or in the late evenings from rivers or flowing water. Some believe that those who hear the wails of the "weeping woman" are marked for death. She is said to cry "Ay, mis hijos!" which translates to "Oh, my children!"

To find this cache you will have to park at the posted cords and start from there, follow the weeping womans white glow down the trail but don't follow too close she might see you! When you see the "RED & WHITE" marker glowing together you are very close to the final "DON'T FORGET to LOOK" over your shoulder to see if the weeping woman is following you, she likes to aproach from behind when your not looking, if you see her white glowing eyes this means you have just been seen by the weeping woman and have been marked for death! "GO" to the eyes "STOP" and "LOOK" around before you get snatched, maybe she will spare your life!!!

IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO FREAK'S OUT EASY TAKE SOME FRIENDS WITH YOU!!! IT'S NOT PITCH DARK OUT THERE BUT DARK ENOUGH! HAVE FUN AND BE CAREFULL! DONT FORGET TO TAKE YOUR FLASHLIGHT OR HEAD LAMP, YOU NEED THE LIGHT TO FOLLOW THE WEEPING WOMANS TRAIL!!!
