Rain Snow or Shine Cache Dash Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

spatten26.2: Well, it's been a little over 2 weeks since the event, and we've all moved on with our lives. So it's time to archive this one. There's still one TB listed in the inventory, but that will probably clear itself out when someone actually finds it wherever it's placed.

Time to turn out the lights and go home.

Geocache Description:

Snow doesn't mean the end of caching season, just time to look for winter friendly finds!

Are you a truly die hard cacher? Do you cache in the sunshine, rain, and even snow? Then come join us for a great day of caching at the "Rain, Snow or Shine Cache Dash!" (cache dash, geofest, whatever you want to call it) Traditionally, this week is the first measurable snowfall in Minnesota, so what better time to have an event?
More info to come, but here are the basic details:
  • Check-in: 8:30-9:30 at Hy-Vee (We'll be upstairs in the conference room.)
  • Cache Dash: 9:30- 4:30
  • Wrap up: 5:00 at Pizza Ranch with fun, food, and some door prizes.

There will be 23 caches (19 permanent, 4 temporary). There will also be a temporary TB hotel to dip/ exchange travel bugs. This IS a family-friendly/ kid-friendly event. Families and kids welcome! The caches (except for check-in and dinner) are also dog-friendly if anyone has a snow dog that might want to attend. Bring your cable for your GPSr and we'll load the caches directly on to it. Be prepared for the weather. Most of the caches are p&g's but there are some that will be hiking and you may need to go a little bit off trail to retrieve them. Boots will definitely be advisable. Please leave an "Attending" log so we know approximately how many to prepare for. We'll be posting more information as the time gets closer.

Whether the weather be cold,
or whether the weather be hot,
Whatever the weather,
we'll weather the weather,
whether we like it or not!

This event is sponsored in part by the Minnesota Geocaching Association.
