Shepherds' Meeting Stones is a remote rocky outcrop in the Upper Derwent area of the Dark Peak. You are unlikely to meet any shepherds here - indeed, you're unlikely to meet anyone!
The cache can be approached from King's Tree or the Woodhead Pass. The former is easier but longer. From King's Tree there is a path all the way to the cache and beyond. Near the cache location, approach from below the rocks.
If you take the low route from King's Tree there are three more caches to bag, and the high moorland route back takes in a horse, crow and bull to give seven caches in total (about one per mile).
WARNING: This cache is in a remote location with no phone signal. By seeking this or any other cache placed by me you accept responsibility for your own safety. Caching can be dangerous. Assess the risk for yourself before seeking this cache. Do not attempt this cache in bad weather. It is best not attempted alone - let someone know where you are going.
