Geocache Description:

A cache approximately 4 miles off MT Highway 83 at a National Forest Service facility.

Owl creek is the site of the beginning of the Gordon Trail, one of the main western entrances to the Bob Marshal Wilderness Complex. This cache is hidden in Owl Packer Camp where most stock trips either start or finish for outfitters or private groups taking horses or mules into the wilderness. The facility has numerous corrals, modern outhouses, running water and even a rental cabin available from the Forest Service. It can be busy at times with pack strings being prepared or finishing multi day expeditions. There is camping available and the opportunity to see real Montana Outfitters at work with their animals.

Congrats to heath468 on the FTF!

The cache is hidden just out of the way of the busy portion of the camp. You can drive to it but be sure to go slowly through the stock area and follow directional signs. While there enjoy the sites, sounds and smells of modern day mountain men at work!

A "Signal" FTF pin is there for the First To Find.
