This is the 4th cache in a series along an easy 5 mile walk on public footpaths alongside the Woollensbrook. The kick off is at Haileybury College or near Goose Green and nicely links caches in Golding Woods and Hoddesdonpark Woods. You are seeking a small black plastic container. The cache site is a public footpath next to the A10 across an open field that slopes down to a valley.
The view from the cache is of an R&D pharma installation, it's a very large collection of research buildings but they are hidden in a valley - I've driven past it and didn't even know it was there. This location really is the only public route that gives an indication of the facility's size. There has been significant investment in R&D at Hoddesdon over the last few years in preclinical development and clinical development. This site works closely with scientists worldwide and with global medical, manufacturing and marketing teams. Its objective is to develop potential drugs from discovery to a marketable product.
If you are walking from No: 3 follow the narrow footpath with a high hedge on your right and the brook on your left, turn left at the road, cross under the bridge and right across the road into the public footpath over a low wooden barrier. Watch and hear the road here as there is a double bend.
