This is our very first cache that we've placed. We have found a lot in the area, so we figured it was time we placed one. This cache is an ammo box hidden along a rarely used trail in the Stanford rec park. It's an easy walk, but watch out for the briars and sticker bushes.
There is lots of stuff to do there like 3 baseball fields, basketball, tennis, there is a pond you can swim in, a skating park, and a playground. You can even have a party under the pavillion.
This park is home of Taconic Little League, so first to find gets a brand new Taconic ball cap. The cache contains a Geo Globe travel bug that is ready to move to it's next cache.
The best parking is the parking lot near the baseball field with score board. It can be accessed from Route 82. We have used the rec park for many years. This can be a very fun place to be and we wanted to bring more people here.
