Geocache Description:

NOTE: THE CACHE CONTAINER HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY REMOVED DUE TO THE CEMETERY EXPANSION PROJECT. THE CACHE WAS LEFT ACTIVE FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN THE PUZZLE PORTION OF THE HIDE. PLEASE CONTACT ME AND I WILL CONFIRM YOUR FIND. The cemetery’s caretaker has given his permission to use the site. THIS IS NOT A NIGHT CACHE. Parking is on 214th Street outside the cemetery gates. The Cemetery hours are 7AM – 8PM daily. Please do not park on private property or in the cemetery.

This cache was created in honour of Maple Ridge’s early settlers. A few of the names of the individuals used in the clues, for the cache’s coordinates, have streets named after them. Additional information and history of the cemetery and the residents can be found at the Maple Ridge Museum’s website. All clues are clearly marked on grave markers along the main road of Section #1. There is no need to step off the road. The cache is a regular sized lock 'n lock. It contains a dinosaur, crayons, a bracelet, a couple rings, a couple of rubber balls, two sets of batteries and a FTF Pin & $5 Timmy’s gift card for the First to Find. Go to the posted coordinates. Walk back to the cemetery entrance while observing the grave markers. Please stay off the grass. If you pass between the Twin Giants before gathering all of the clues, you’ve gone too far. Note to online researchers: Beware of misinformation. The clue questions are based on the actual dates and spelling on the grave markers. The cache is at: N49° 13.ABC W122° 37.DEF A) The year Thomas H. Laity lost his life during WWI minus the year Thomas Haney passed away. B) The year Iwama Yamaura was born minus the year her husband Kinoe Yamaura was born. C) Divide the day Alfred T. Charlton was born by the day he passed away.
